Saudi Arabia has surpassed India as the world's largest arms importer in the Middle East region. Saudi Arabia arms imports jumped 54 percent last year to US $6.5 billion, followed by India with $5.8 billion, according to documents released Sunday (8/3) by a research institute IHS world arms trade.
